Mrs. Black has been in the teaching profession for three years. Her work as the sponsor of the Saga Staff is to be commended. She has a good relationship with the staff, which is necessary to put out a successful yearbook. She has spent countless hours outside of school, working on the yearbook with the students. We hope that Mrs. Black spends many more years at Center North, and will have as many happy memories of this year as We do. SCHOOL SPIRIT IS A VITAL ENERGY Dear Students, Dear Vikings, I am happy to commend you on another fine job of producing the SAGA. The SAGA, as a graphic representation of those events, activities, and accomplishments of this past year is truly a great one. More importantly, it portrays the many teachers, students and others whose cheerful atti- tude, courage, and loyalty have contributed so much to that vital energy called School Spirit. Congratulations on ajob well done. Sincerely, W 2sni,.r,..Q Dr. Leroy Barrows Superintendent ,fm QS School spirit, the enthusiastic loyalty to your schoolj, is certainly a vital ingredient in the formula for any successful school. The attitude, enthusiasm, and op- timism With which you go about your school activities greatly determines your school spirit. However, this is not an end in itself but simply a means to an end. These traits, which are difficult to define but easy to sense, also largely determine how successful you are in your learn- ing experiences in school. V May each of you continue to exhibit the excellent school spirit which has characterized Center North Ju- nior High School. Knowledge plays a most important part in every personls life. During this year our faculty has taught us how to gain this knowledge, and they have helped us to reach many of our goals. The student council has accomplished many of its goals. We have collected the highest amount of money for the United Campaign in the history of Center North. We have expanded the number of members and com- mittees on the Student Council. It is the first time the Center North Student Council has attended the state student council convention. Also, the student council has had some new activi- ties such as, mum day and Sadie Hawkins day. I hope next years Student Council President has the best of luck and cooperation. , Sincerely, Steve Summers 1967-68 Student Council President is-NX ROW 1: Jeff Katz, 7th grade representative, Pat Galvin, 7th grade vice-president, Rosemary Mannino, 8th grade representative, ' Bob Brown, 7th grade president, Larry Rosenblum, 8th grade president.
