- This course is designed for beginning students in drafting. The use of drafting tools and the under- standing of the reading of drawings is covered. There is also drafting two and three. ,-if . sf R' if ,, 41 DRIVERS TRAINING Driver Training-To be a hot- rodder today, you have to take driver training. Mr. Mass and Mr. Schoensee, who are especially trained to teach this course, serv- ice both our school and St. Clements. Class room work, as well as actual road practice in a dual-control car, is an important part of this ten week course. - The first year of shop deals primarily with the use and care of hand tools. Students have the op- portunity to work in various units such as woodwork, bench metal work, electricity, sheetmetal and forging. x 45

ART is-5.-Q - Art classes offer students the oppor- tunity to gain experience in handling new materials for creative expression. Tech- niques and skills are developed in drawing, painting, lettering, and ceramics. HOME E C ONOM ICS Q - This year due to popular demand, a boys' cooking class was started. In this class the basic principles of nutrition are taught, together with the planning for necessary knowledge for shopping wisely.
