Students and patrons at Center owe Nlr. Garrison a debt of deepest gratitude for his intelligent .ind dt-voted leadership. It is that leadership which has proved a far-tor set-ond to none in building Ge-nter from Wjust another school into one ofthe State of Mis- souri's outstanding school systems. lfollowing distinguished administrative and teaching careers in other Missouri schools, Mr. and Mrs. Garrison came to Center in 1944 at a time when the District had only two grade schools, one of which did double duty as a junior-senior high school. Over the years. Mr. Garrison has piloted a program that now finds us with five elementary schools, two junior high schools, and a magnificent new high school. lt has been a story of growth all along the line, in plant, in curriculum, and in quality instruction. Everyone at Center will feel a great loss now that retirement brings about the departure of Mr. Garrison.
