SeniorClass History Fresh and willing, we entered a brand new high school, in the fall of 19U8, beginning our careers as freshmen. Of course, our first year we looked up to and admired the upper classmen. We began to make ourselves known in music and sports, and under the guidance of Miss Knight completed a successful year. The next September we began a little more sure-footed and branched out into the fields of debate and cheerleading, Mrs, Sutor was our sponsor through this second year of success. Then came the days of Yum Yumsl Candy Bars I Ice Cold Pop! and Hot Coffee! Yes, our junior year, and Mrs. Swetnam led another group of juniors through a full year, from our play, I Remember Mama, in November to the Prom in the spring. We worked industriously and entered our senior year as a group of good salesmen with strong vocal cords. This past year, like all good senior classes, we aquired leader- ship in almost every activity open—music, athletics, debate, scholar- ship, cheerleading, Hi-Y and Y-Teens, and dramatics. We led eventful lives; the senior play, Our Miss Brooks, attending the Prom, this time as guests, and the grand finale, our graduation.
