Everywhere in the huge school auditorium are masses of beautiful flowers, compliments of King's Flower Shop with Miss Leila King proprietress, assisted by Herman Farmer, Charles Morgan and Clementine Smith. When I arrived I met my dear friend Janie Shaw who is head model at the Esquire Beauty Home where Joyce Sams is hair stylist and Les- ter Dopson is in charge of the tailoring of mens suits Coming through the door is Doctor E J Regulus a small town sur geon with his assistant and the superintendent of nurses Ann Evans He is assisted by a staff which included Gloria Williams Jean Peter on Josephine Phillips Carmetha Postell and Evelyn Fleming Two persons entering receive a warm reception from the group They are the Bacon brothers who are presently employed as head chemists at the local high school where professor Elijah Brown is the principal with Mercy Lee Myrick as private secretary Other members of the staff are Betty Shaw Armetha Reid Jewel Golden Dorene Co oper Eddie Jackson Edward Dyson and Marjorie Dunaway Jimmy Perry Frank Peoples and Emma Johnson are head coaches of baseball football and basketball respectively Standing in a group on the side of the dance floor are Barbara Dunbar Oma Dread Virginia Floyd Nina Foster Shirley Holmes Fannie Tay lor and Mirian Jackson All are very happy housewives seemingly talking over their domestic problems The distinguished Armed Force uniforms of Charles Goins James Hudson Edward Medlock Donald Robinson and Robert Merritt attracted plenty of attention as they strolled about reviving old acquaintances Occupying seats on the left side of the auditorium Leon Wright and Curtis Davis both leading architects talking with Valentine Figgs owner --5 and operator of the Figgs Theater Serving Figgs as ushers and ticket seller are Jewel Armstrong Clarence Garard Ernest Tyson and Emma Murphy Music for the occasion is being furnished by William Hemmans and his orchestra which includes Russell Cooper Norman Davis Wilbur Cannon Julius Johnson and James McClain The lovely voice of Miss Elizabeth Thomas keeps the audience spell bound Everlina Boykins social reporter of the Waycross Courier is mak ing notes of the occasion which will appear in her column Cew Chatter J C McPhaul is Editor in Chief of the paper and is assisted by Jim my Daniels with Quilla Jones sports editor We were happy to greet Dorothy Hadden Carlene Jenkins Eugene Williams and Daniel Jackson employees of the U S Iron Corporation Food for this occasion was furnished by Louise Dixon and Lugenia Edwards operators of the town s swankest delicatessen As we sing 'Auld Lang Lyne the photographer Davis Mitchell is ff making pictures of this our tenth year reunion f , , l 0 Q 7 - 0 1 n Q . . 1 , 7 S ., . , . 3 I ' , , . , . . . . , .
