Last Will and Testament I, George Ford, being ol sound mind, hereby will my loafing period to Teddy Summers and my ability not to get caught smoking in the furnace room to Jim Vahle. I, Marilyn Howald, being of sound mind, hereby will my cheerleading uniform to anyone who has the pep to do it, and my good times of the 7th period to the Seniors of 1953. I, Charlie Sells, being of sound mind, hereby will my naturally curly hair to Bill Cottrell, and my seat in American Problems to anyone who can stay in there. I, Riley Morawitz, being of sound mind, hereby will my ability to skip study hall to Mary Palmer, and my good times to G. L. Hoffman. 1, Sue Brothers, being of sound mind, hereby will my cheerleading uniform to anyone that is fat enough to fit into it, and my silly laugh to Jo An Kurz. I, Clellen Brooks, being of sound mind, hereby will my height in basketball to Judy Salsman and my basketball suit to anyone who can wear it. I, Betty Ransdell, being of sound mind, hereby will my good times at noon hour to Mary Webb and G. L. and the ability of going steady to Jean Ann Moss. I, Dixie Swon, being of sound mind, hereby will my band suit to anyone who likes it as much as 1 did, and my swell times in the study hall to Judy Salsman and Donna Davis. 1, Eugene Cole, being of sound mind, hereby will my basketball suit to anyone who can make the grades, and my love for the New London girls to anyone who does. 1, Gladys Holcomb, being of sound mind, hereby will my good times in Center High School to my best friend, Coleda Talley, and my thrilling weekends to Virginia Talley. I, Charles V oods, being of sound mind, hereby will my straight hair to William Fanning, and my band suit to anyone who wants it. I, Jim Cottrell, being of sound mind, hereby will my ability to shoot firecrackers to Billy Wayne Farran, and my basketball suit to Carol Jones. I, Earl Schaffer, being of sound mind, hereby will my ability to get along with the teachers to G. L. Hoffman. 1, Paul Jones, being of sound mind, hereby will my seat in the study hall to Carol Jones, and my smoking habits to Jim Vahle. I, Bob Wisner, being of sound mind hereby will my height to Billy Wayne Farran, and my parking place to Lois Hickerson and Charles Woods. I, Tom Neuschafer, being of sound mind, hereby will my basketball suit to Billy Dickensheets, and my private conferences with the teachers after class to anyone who rates to stay. I, Lois Ann Ponder, being of sound mind, hereby will my long line of broken hearts and a bottle of glue to Stella Inlow. I am sure that she will mend them.

History of The Senior Class When school opened August 30, 1948 twenty-three green-looking Freshmen ascended the stairs of Center High School. The class con- sisted of the following members: Earl Schaffer Jackie Tapley Riley Morawitz Martha Asbury Eugene Cole Marilyn Howald Sue Brothers Charlie Sells Tommie Neuschafer Paul Jones Gladys Holcomb George Ford Clellen Brooks Bob Wisner Betty Ransdell Hugh Logan Doris Hill Charles Woods Jimmy Moomaw Dixie Swon Billy Kuntz Lula Jennings Junior Ardrey Mr. Paul Graves was elected as our class sponsor. To our Fresh- man class were added Donald and Charles Martin. When school opened the next fall the Sophomores had lost three of their members of the year before; Doris Hill, Charles and Donald Martin. Mr. J. R. Wilson was selected as our sponsor. We enrolled as Juniors at Center High School in the fall of 1950. We lost five of our members of the year before; Bill Kuntz, Jackie Tapley, Hugh Logan, Jimmy Moomaw and Lula Jennings. One new member was added, Jim Cottrell. Mrs. Imogcne Clayton was selected as our sponsor. The activities of our Junior class consisted of a play, Aunt Sally from Cherry Valley. We honored the Senior class with a banquet titled, Maypole. Now, at last, the year 1952. We have climbed the ladder of education to our Senior year of high school. We lost one more member, Martha (Asbury) Howald. A new member was added, Lois Ann Ponder. Mrs. Charles Durall is our sponsor. There arc only seventeen members left in our class as we approach graduation time and we just now realize how much fun we have had at dear old C. H. S. in our four years of high school. We are dreading the day we will have to part from the gay hall of dear old C.H.S. Only six members of our Senior class have traveled the long road of twelve years together; Sue Brothers, Marilyn Howald, Clellen Brooks, Tom Neuschafer, Bob Wisner and Gladys Holcomb.

Class Prophecy In 1962 the Seniors gathered with Mr. and Mrs. Durali and children at the Jefferson Hotel in St. Louis to hold their first reunion after ten years of separation. Betty Ransdell and Bob Wisner were married about two years after graduation. Betty is a typist in Washington, D. C. Bob is in the Navy. Earl Schaffer is a farmer near Center. Earl is still looking for a wife. Dixie Swon is now married to Clyde Willard and is living in Huston, Texas. They have two children, Joan and Eugene. Jim Cottrell is now married and is living on a farm near Center. He married a doctor’s daughter, who lived in Center. Charlie Sells is proprietor of the largest garage in Missouri since his discharge from the Navy. He expects to be married in 1972, so look out girls, you may be the lucky one. Riley Morawitz is owner of one of the largest cattle ranches in Texas. He is planning to marry his housekeeper. Gene Cole and Mary Palmer are married now, after several years of courtship, and they live on the Circle C. Ranch in Arizona. Charles Woods has graduated from Kirksville State Teachers College and is working in Los Angeles as a Civil Engineer. Tom Neuschafer is a comedian on C. B.S. Television network. He is still unmarried, but has many good-looking prospects. Gladys Holcomb is now employed as a stenographer for one of the leading lawyers of Kansas City. She is engaged to her boss. Good luck, Gladys Clellen Brooks couldn't be here for she is a Red Cross Nurse and has been spending the last two years working in Germany. George Ford lives in Mississippi on a cotton plantation. He is still looking for his mate. We hope that someday he will succeed in his search. Good Luck! Paul Jones is engaged in farming with his brother near Center. Paul has still managed to avoid matrimony. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Vier are happily married and are living in Lamar, Missouri. Mrs. Vier was formally Lois Ann Ponder. They have three boys now, Mike, Ted, and Don Allan. Marilyn Howald is now happily married to Gene Scovill. They have moved to Kansas City and have just become the proud parents of twins, Curt and Carla. Sue Brothers has been married to Eldon Ellison for five years and they have four children. What time she isn't taking care of the children, she takes in washing.
