ydlbdlfq Guam in Battle COACH CALLS FIRST PLAY . . . Coach Jim Colegrove gives last minute instructions to his starting eleven. Under the guidance of Jim Colegrove, head coach, and John Clements, line coach, Center Grove gridmen compiled a 2-6-1 record. With 12 returning lettermen the Trojans opened the season by tying Brownsburg 13-13. Champ Terrell and Randy Stewart led the Trojan scoring for wins over Avon and Edin- burg. The team met defeat at the hands of Franklin Central, Mooresville, Plainfield, Greenwood, Danville, and Madison. Despite their many losses the Trojan eleven showed unusual desire and good sportsmanship throughout the season. Boys selected for outstanding defensive work in each game were eligible for membership in the Defen- FOOTBALL SQUAD . . . Players who won the Defensive Demon award in one or more games includedChamp Terrell, Marty Umbarger, Stan Puckett, and Randy Stewart. Terrell compiled 120 points to lead the team defensively. Trojan fans have something to look forward to as a result of the impressive performance by freshmen this year. The team, coached by Jim Plummer, estab- lished an undefeated record marred only by a tie with Greenwood.
