GIRLS' ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION . . . Over TOO girls, under the direction of Mrs. Davis, participated in sports during the T962-63 school year. em' Am fiuoakztwa Sym comm sw High school girls participated in sports throughout the year with a variety of Girls' Athletic Association activities. Bowling, basketball, and volleyball were the major interests. The basketball team participated in interscholastic games. Among these were games against Beech Grove, Greenwood, and Franklin Community School. The girls also formed teams by classes for participation in a single-elimination intramural tournament. Several changes made in the rules for girls' basketball this year proved to make the game more challenging. Money for awards given to outstanding participants ot the club was raised by sponsoring a sock hop early in the season. l GAA officers were Susan Dunn, president, Jayne Carter, vice-president, Jeanie Blaich, secretary-treasurer, Kathee Williams, point captainp and Barbara Weber, assistant point captain.
