'K 'ie' 1 . . tw D The addition of four new faculty members, the initiation of a reading program, and the expansion of facilities increased opportunities for learning in the elementary school. In an attempt to aid students who have reading difficulties school officials employed Mrs. Doris Fulmer to direct the new reading program. Classroom projects such as drawing maps, paint- ing murals, and animal studies stimulated pupils by 5'd0ol,4ch'447lau 1714114011 , KATHERINE BOWMAN . . . Mrs. Bowman, who teaches second grade, earned her B.S. degree from Indiana State College. She is new to Center Grove. ,. HELENE BUNNELL . . . Mrs. Bunnell obtained her B.S. and B.A. degrees from Ohio State University. She also attended . Franklin College. NIEL BUSSE . . . Mr. Busse, who earned a 8.5. degree at Franklin College, teaches the sixth grade. BEULAH CALVERT . . . Mrs. Calvert, who attended Butler University Extension, is a second grade teacher. ELLENA V. CLARK . . . Mrs. Clark, a new fourth grade teacher, attended Central Normal College and Indiana University. MARGARET CLORE . . . Miss Clare is a third grade teacher who attended Indiana Central College, Butler University, and Teacher's College of Indianapolis. BETTY CORNELIUS . . . Mrs. Cornelius, sixth grade teacher, earned her B.S. degree from Arkansas State College. MARIDEL CRAGEN . . . Mrs. Cragen, a first grade teacher, attended Butler University. MARIE DOTY . . . Mrs. Doty, who attended Muskingum College in Ohio and Butler University, is a fourth grade informing them about the world around them. Addition of new books increased elementary library facilities. Several classes conducted book reading con- tests. These programs encouraged pupils to read more frequently and consistently. Along with this stepped-up system of instruction, elementary pupils enioyed the traditional holiday parties and PTO-sponsored projects. INTERRUPTION . . . Otto J.
