Editor-in-Chief Vivian Clark Editor, Vivian Clark, her assistants and their assistant page editors worked hard publicizing their bi-weekly newspaper. The editor and assistant editors' biggest headache is correcting and rewriting copy. The page editors' responsibility is making up the pages. That has been the case with last year's annual, and from all indications it appears that Robert Warrenl and Katherine Owens, with their wonderful statt, have another book on the shelf. From the beginning of school to the last deadline, the War Cry has moved ra- pidly, thus producing an- other outstanding annual we can be proud ot. ANN To your left are two vigorous working section editors Harriette Badgett and Oneal Blouin. These two energetic, persistent workers, in order to meet their deadline toiled at school and at home, both night and day. Actually they are two of the hardest, working students on the staff. Words have not been dis- covered to describe the iustice that Joyce Hata and Robert Warren put into the Faculty section of this annual. While Joyce typed frantically on the typewriter, Robert ran around collecting the information they needed in order to complete their section. I 1 Delores Silas and Dolores Cryer are the editors of the Senior Section. Setting up a schedule so that every senior was able to take their grad- uation picture was only a minor part of work they put into their section. When you are looking over the Senior section of your annual, you are looking at the work of two fine workers Delores and Dolores. i J. Spight, A. Boys will remember Things like scraping up enough cour- age to invite his dream come true, asking her friends the color of her dress so he can get the proper cor- sage, spending a half hour or more before the mirror trying to get the right effect for his hair and taking the final steps to her door on shaky feet. For a girl there' is al- ways the thrill of picking out her formal, spending most of the day in the beauty salon and after the dance pinning her invitation and corsage to her bulletin board. Wade's gridders used as they opened the 1960 football campaign. At the begining of the season it was stated CENTENNIAL had a very slim, if any chance, of win- ning any games during the course of the season. As it turned out, we only lost two games with a very im- pressive record of T0 anal 2-. Our team was the small- est in the 'ClF, but size didn't frighten our athletes because whoever they played, they were determined to give the best performancepossible. in return, it came back to them as they were the second strongest team in the entire state of California, out of some 400 CIF schools. - X 2..', rf? After the squad was cut down to size they started to accomplish a most outstanding iob. This season Centen- nial's Cagers were the shortest in the Coast League plus being the second smallest in the entire C.'l.F. But victory was the cry and that's what we got. With a special desire and little Coach Ted Berner more effort they were able to get on the winning trail. Although they lost three league games they were too tough for Lynwood and the C.l.F.
