The leadership of this ,class with Delores Dumas, President, Fred Andrews, Vice-President, Barbara Owens, Secretary, and Marguerita Duenas as Treasurer as the newest built a firm foundation for future work. 0 The sophomores could easily list many names in a variety of fields at Centennial. From sports to the creative field competency is the keynote and interest the watchword. The print shop, art department and journalism class are but a few of the areas of productive activity. 0 The Drama Club, Tomahawks and on into the night tells the tale of the sophomore group. We can all remember how hard they worked for the White Christmas Fund. The fun they had at the Annual Sophomore Hop. All the food some ate at the Sophomore Breakfast and the very wonderful contribution to the Library Fund Drive. A wonderful beginning the sophomores had and no doubt one that will reach out and tab many for success. IQEQ swf .5 N33 F J, --I, f 'f ...v-.gli 2. Little did they realize, and us for that matter, that it would be a short time before they assumed the real job of leadership of the school. From quite an inauspicious beginning as a group they have de- veloped to the point where they are ready for the top job. 0 With the election of Cleo Harris, President, Ronald Jennings, Vice-President, Johnnye Ruth White, Secretary, and R. D. Pittman, Treasurer, this class dug in and accomplished all that was asked of them as a group and in many instances much more. They supervised at games to selling tickets to supporting the Polio Drive, White Christmas Fund and the Blind Assembly. Theirs was a vital interest and concern. 0 Who can forget the Junior Social Dance, the Annual Skating Party, the Junior Picnic and the Junior Prom. Who can forget some of the top athletes and the outstanding students entered in the essay contests and Bill of Rights speech contest. The club has grown to 53 boys during the past three years. Their purpose is to create and maintain good spirit and citizenship among all students. Their principal duty is to maintain order at the assemblies and other school ac- tivities.
