The juniors on the team closed the season and the seniors finished their high school careers with a victory against Springfield Lanphier, a team which had been improving every game. The defense, a Charger trademark, was evident all season. The team played well the first half of the season, but a midseason injury to Mitch Hartman slowed the team for the rest of the season. Anonymous 6U SHOIN3S 120 JUNIORS JUNIORS HAVE A PROMISING FUTURE. The Junior class has held many fund-raising projects this year for Prom. They have had car washes, bake sales, and a new event for Cen- tennial, a spaghetti dinner before the Centennial vs. Central football game. The class of ’82 won, for the first time, in the Homecoming float com- petition. The theme of the Juniors float was “Master Chargers, We’ve Got Clout.” The Juniors also held the tradi- tional magazine and Christmas candy cane sales, which went over well. Thanks to the help of many junior class members, Prom was a great suc- cess. The class of ’82 is looking forward to a promising Senior year. A. Into our lives came he ... And now, his absence is like The sky above, spread over everything! On the other side of death ... where time is not counted by years ... and there are no separations, we take solace in the following lines penned by Helen Steiner Rice: “All who believe in God’s mercy and grace Will meet their loved ones face to face Where time is endless and joy unbroken And only the words of God’s love are spoken.” To the classmates, counselors, and teachers of Keith ... and to all others who shared his love and his joy of life ... we are grateful. John and Eunice Campbell (Keith's Parents) Karen and Kathy Campbell (Keith’s Sisters) Friendship Lives Forever If I could have just one plea, I think that one prayer would be, With all that such a prayer portends - “Lord make me worthy of my friends. Help me to be as true and fine As they believe - these fine friends of mine. Give me the courage under stress That they expect me to possess: And when they smile and look at me, Oh, let me be, Lord, what they see! Help me all pretense to forego And simply without pomp or show, Repay with true sincerity The loyal faith they had in me And if, sometimes, I may have erred In any thought or deed or word, Then help me, Lord, to make amends - Lord, make me worthy of my friends.” Helen Lowrie Marshall If I accept the sunshine and warmth, I must also accept the thunder and lightning. Gregory Moody Keith L. Campbell, son of John and Eunice Campbell, and Gregory Moody, son of Robert and Maureen Moody, were killed in a tragic auto accident in August, 1980. Greg was a member of the Varsity Tennis team and Keith participated in the Centennial’s Marching Band and jazz Band. For those of us who knew them they will be missed and will always be remem- bered as a part of Centennial. 162 STUDENT LIFE 164 STUDENT LIFE STUDENT LIFE 165 166 STUDENT LIFE 168 STUDENT LIFE STUDENT LIFE 169 170 STUDENT LIFE STUDENT LIFE 171 172 STUDENT LIFE STUDENT LIFE 173 174 STUDENT LIFE STUDENT LIFE 175 176 STUDENT LIFE 177 178 ACADEMICS ACADEMICS 179 ACADEMICS A. “Are you looking for someone?” Mrs. Decardy isn’t quite sure what to make out of this person with a camera.
