Such complaints and groans Were very familiar ones the day after the Trike -A- Thon, sponsored by Heliaca to raise money for Easter Seals Other activities of the National Honor Society included sponsoring an awards dessert, holding an initiation banquet for incoming members The Future Business Leaders of Ameri- ca proved to be busy this year as they par- ticipated in the Mothers March against Birth Defects, entered in the District Skills Contest, and held a paper drive and candy sales Oh. . . Wow, do my legs hurt! 1. Members of FBLA stand by some of the papers they collected in their paper drive. 2. Susan I-Ierold receives a first place award in the Clerical area at the State District Skills Contest. 3. FBLA members include jerilyn Anderson, Susan Herold fVice Presi- dentj, jackie Leedom Cfreasurerj, Gary Smith, Judy Leubner flaresidentj, and Terry Atkins fSecretaryl. COUNTRY CLUB sf TOGETHER New Jnterzsts .Q ?r1c'mIsh1,vs Kesulf Two new clubs were 1n1t1ated this year by a few insplred students Country Club replaced the old AFS Club and expanded the membership to include persons that had not taken a forelgn language Activities included a horseback riding trip in the Spring Carl Larsen was elected Vice President and Sheryl Tuthill was elected President Pro Tem Together, the new service club came on the scene at Homecoming The club really got together when they sponsored the Christmas Formal In the Spring, a puppet show was presented for the Village Rest Home and another for the Shriners Hospital The officers elected were Megan Still Pres1dent Lori Bieberdorf, Vice President, Darlene Leggett, Secretary, and Linda Long, Treasurer ' 2 X 1 E---...,. , ma.. uuunnoqnqp X 'iu 1. Megan Still, Lori Bieberdorf, jamie Brigham and Linda Long use their creativity in making decorations for the Chrisnnas Formal. 2.
