T E N N I S : youth Dcfmzmztrfs ,411 Teams The young and generally inexperi- enced Varsity Tennis squad ended the season with a 9-5 Win-loss record Brant Barshaw and Steve Rex led the team with 8-3 league records Dan Trevarthen placed fourth in the District tournament and continued on to state Where he finish- ed among the top twelve Said Coach Dean Pade, They lived up to my preseason predictions. With only one senior, jerry Enten- men, leaving the team, and sophomore Brant Barshaw, juniors Steve Rex and Dan T revarthen all returning, the future could be enhanced. As Coral I-Iiscoe and Debbie McCord Were the only graduating members of the girls tennis team, youth prevailed throughout the ranks. Singles players included Kassie Koch and Tara Lee Ness as Well as the two seniors. The team finished the season with 3 Wins and 8 losses in league play, but with so many girls returning, next years team looks promising, enhancing even. 1. Girls Varsity tennis team, STANDING: Debbie McCord, Michelle Lawrocki, Gloria Hasbun, Leeanne Worthington, Peggy Fields. KNEELING: Coral Hiscoe, Kassie Koch, Tara Lee Ness. 2. Concentration and form make Tara Lee Ness' forhand very consistent. 3. Girls j.V. team, STANDING: Michelle Popma, Cris Hiscoe, Terri White, Paula Sutton, Verleta Sudul, Barbara Ruhlin. KNEELING: Kay Porter, Darla Finley, Beth Heinrich, Karla Finley, Kim Porter.
