Jv FROSH TRACK iumor Eagles Crzumph Not surprisingly both the I V and Freshman track teams were highly suc cessful Thej V earned a 6 0 record while freshmen Wotmd up the season with 5 Wins and l loss Notable standouts at the I V level included Ron Maize, Whose sprint Work helped tremendously, Pat Castle pole vault and 440, George Maruhn in the sprints, and weightman Dave Pitassi, who also ran the sprints in his spare time. The talent-laden freshman fielded such runners as distancemen Gary james and Ron Trevarthen. Dan Seibel gleamed in the high jump as did Andy Florence in both hurdle races. Other standouts in- cluded jay Brigham and Greg Casselary, both sprinters, and Ron Nutting, a fine pole vaulter. 1. Overtaking a Gresham runner, Ken Campbell moves to an outside lane to pass. 2. Jeff Thompson shows how not to attempt a 6 foot leap. 3. Exhaustion is evident on Ron Nutting's face as he finishes a grueling 440.

Della McGuire and Kelly Gaylord discuss their hand-off's just before the race. 2. Cheryl Pierce clears 4'11 for a new school record. 4. Coaches, Diane Stewart, and Chelinda Dettorre add up points to another victory while Laura jones listens intensely. 5. Brenda Hedges, and Teri Adkins whiz over the hurdles. 6. Barb Hansen wins another victory in the mile. 7. Kerry Servas streches for that extra inch.
