V Wznuzng 551150145 ,411 The jumor Varslty basketball team started the season strong wmnmg elght of the f1rst ten games yet ended the year wlth a 12 10 w1n loss record Coach Chuck johns sald the team was much more com pet1t1ve than the1r record mdlcated He explamed that many of the games were lost by less than four polnts The team was led by standout Nrck Caba m the shootlng and reboundlng cate gorles Caba fmlshed w1th 270 pomts for a 12 pomt average Brad Washburn the sec ond hlghest scorer had a 10 po1nt average Other top players were Mark Cec1l1an1 Ron Enteman and Mark I-Iettum The Vars1ty II team had an excellent 17 wm 5 loss season under the d1rect1on of Mr Coy Z1mmerman Tom Kurutz led 1n shootmg w1th a nme pomt average, but was closely followed by Kevln Crawford, Cralg Galllnate, and Scott Lowe ln that category.
