Student Council Struggles for Support, Apathy Proves Strong Opponent. Marti Emerald - Second Vice President it Kerry Gribble -judicial Board ee?-iii! 2 Student Council attempted to in- volve the school in community service projects. These included the Second Wind Food Drive, the popular March of Dimes Walk-a-thon, and a blood drive for the American Red Cross. Student government tried to draw interest by holding an Open Forum for anyone twith his teacher's permission? to attend. A search for a project to unite the student body was made. The idea was dropped, though, after polls indicated that while everyone liked the idea of building a student union, no one was willing to work for it.
