l.V. 84 FROSH BASEBALL q ickerson leads lunior Varsity, Frosh endure mediocre season. The j.V. baseball team ended the sea- son playing .500 ball. They had a very balanced winning combination. They won one and then would lose one. The players showed some promise for the future but still need some varsity exper- ience and should get it when they play Legion ball this summer. The team was paced by Brent Dick- erson, Paul Nelson, Rick Estey and Mark Balch. Dickerson led the team in hitting, while Nelson followed close behind. Estey and Balch were consistent in the field. The Frosh Red squad was led by catch- er Del Craven and pitcher Vince Mar- tinez. They had some good young talent and showed desire and hustle which can't be replaced by anything. The Frosh Blue team headed by Coach Wallace Brunelle did not have a very good but lost some close games and showed they could play good base- ball by the end of the season. Mick Tarsia and Stan Hiatt led the team in hit- ting and fielding. 3' .i:A. 1 LCLJA 3' First baseman Dean Polard stretches high into the air in plenty of time to get the third out. C.H.S. C.H.S.
