84 district meet. The girls' track team had a very suc- essful year. They posted a 7-1 dual eet record. Their only loss came at he hands of The Dalles. On May 12, ey captured the Wilco District meet. Laura jones was one of the team's op individuals. She won many 100 ard dashes and the district title in 11.5. was a sophomore this year, one the many underclassmen of the Two other sophomores who had GIRL S TRACK , 1 l irl s track team takes first in Wilco relays fine seasons were Pam Giese and Kathy Hall. Pam handled the distance chores, along with junior Debbie Nicholson. She set a school record in the district meet, finishing second in 2:29. Kathy Hall placed first in almost every meet in the longjump. There were forty girls out for Miss Diane Stewart's team.
