I. V. FR OSH FOOTBALL v's show dedication, rooks rip rivals. The j. V. team hada discouraging season, but had dedicated players, who stuck with it and managed to pick up 3 victories in 9 games. They had talent, but could not seem to put it all together. Dave Crawford and Duane Finsaas con- trolled the offense, while Dave Vice and Randy Breiland were wrapping up enemy backs in leading the defense. The Frosh Blue, behind the coaching of Gary Linton and Don Emry compiled an un- blemished record. Kelly Smith had a remarkable year lugging the pigskin. He gained over 250 yards in one game. Steve Seibel was the main cog in the de- fensive unit and led the team in tackles. The offense ran up a bundle of points and the defense shut out three opponents. Gary Kramer and jeff Akre led the Frosh Red gridders to a 6-1 record. Coach Brunelle described the players as being a close knit group and having a strong desire to win. Quarterback Dave Crawford unloads the bomb in final game of season versus Gresham. Duane Finsaas eludes Gresham tacklers on his way to a big gain. Randy Breiland 1502 cuts cross to block.
