BELOW: Terri, Cathy, Sue, Trudi, and Dru say hello with a friendly wave. pirited, the blue rally cheers champs on to state victory. The football team won the State title, and if a spirit award was to be handed out, it would certainly go to the six rally girls. Terri Newton, Trudi Maguire, Dru Soehr- en, Lori Patrick, Sue Olson, and Kathy Moore treated their state champs at choice restaurants such as King's Table, Farrell's, Satellite, and others. Treats were given to the team, also. Basketball turned out to be an exciting season with Brenda Hawes, Penny Dove, lan Johnston, Barb and Liz Beckman, and 38 SPOR TS jenelle Balzer leading the cheers. The Hilo, Hawaii, rally stayed with the red rally girls, resulting in an enjoyable visit. The team was treated to dinners at rating restaurants and numerous treats were given to them by the six girls. The blue rally also assisted with the base- ball season, andthe red rally handled track season. Each rally succeeded in their pur- pose of promoting spirit, selling ribbons, andjust having a good time. , ggy, ..f Trudi McGuire, Terri Newton, Cathy Moore, Laurie Patrick, Dru Soehren, and Sue Olson made up varsity blue rally.

Red and Blue Rally squads who have cheered for sophomore teams throughout the year e've got spirit-yes we do, we've got spirit-how about you! J. V. Blue rally consisted of six energetic girls: Donna Portin, Vicki Kutcher, Gail Roberts, Teresa Dove, janice Crockett, and Kim Moffit. Baked treats were given to the team by the girls, and spirit was high at all their games. Debbie O'Donnell, Kathy Hall, Sue Cook, julie Hasson, K'lynn Woodward, and Laura jones made up the spirited j.V. basketball rally girls. Cakes were given to the players from the girls and spirit was 40 SPORTS plentiful, judging from the attendance at their games. The freshmen rally girls were right on the ball all through football and basketball season. Teresa Owings, jill Benshoof, Betty Christensen, lan Parker, Sue Parish, and Collen Maguire displayed spirit and organ- ization as cheerleaders in their two sea- sons. The attendance at their games was few, but this didn't daunt their cheering.
