You're Looking ll Swell Dolly. Along with the sunny weather came the Spring Musical, Hello Dolly. Both the music and drama department worked three months in preparing the outstanding pro- duction. Playing to full houses all three evenings, Dolly paid for itself with profits left for the department. Headed by janet Mouser and Richard Muhle, the two groups blended together to produce a perfect play that related to things that take place in real life. The scenery was exceptionally well done, ranging from the inside of a hat shop to the outside of a train depot. The costumes were a compliment to the settings and characters, and very authentic look- ing. All in all the show was a complete success judging from the standing ovation at the end of each perform- ance. Mike Minthorn and Linda Snelling, hard working stage managers, help strike the Harmonial Gardens set. 22 ACTIVITIES Taking time out from their hard work of making beautiful costumes, the crew poses for a picture. Approximately 200 couples danced to the music of Four of a Kind . The formal, sponsored by Cen-Delta, fea- tured Santa Claus Don Crufke to pass out candy canes and crown Senior princess Carol Reeves as Miss Merry Christmas. Other princesses were lun- ior Alison Hill, Sophomore Gail Rob- erts, and Freshman Debbie Kahler. A slight change in dress was noted as many girls chose a more casual look. Few girls had their hair professionally styled, but fathered wore it down, in a more natural style. Also, several girls gave up the usual formal gown for an simple blouse and long jumper or skirt. Most boys followed tradition and rented tuxedos. Many expressions are shown on dancers' faces as the mood of the evening fills the air. ggi 344' 4' Roger Ronning and lulee Scrivens fill up with punch as Larry Newman looks on suspiciously.
