Marigolds Presented in Memorial. The Effects of Gamma Rays on Man-on-the-Moon Marigolds was the lengthy title of this year's Fall Play. The 1977 Pulitzer Prize winning play by Paul Zindel was a favorite of Miss Lorna Davis, a former Centennial English teacher. It was presented in her mem- ory on November 75,76, and 78. The play was directed by Mrs. janet Mouser along with Student Director Chris Dorrenbacher. Marigolds is funny at times but is a sadly touching story. The play had an all girl cast with three main char- acters. Beatrice, played by Marty Emer- ald, is the disagreeable mother of two daughters, Ruth and Tillie. Ruth played by Laurie Walker, is very insecure and tries desperately to be accepted. Her younger sister Tillie, played by Sheri Salvo, is a plain-looking girl whose interests in life include science projects and her pet rabbit Peter , ff' at I ' 13.44 18 ACTIVITIES Jw' .K 'G ac' M ' Y Y ii .
