For the first year in Cen- tennial's history, the Little Theatre has been properly outfitted as a little theatre. Complete with a light board and dimmer, the theatre housed many plays through- out the year. Two English teachers, Mrs. Kay Peterson and Mrs. Marilyn Schultz, became journalism teachers as well. The speech team, coached by Mr. Glen Lamb, did two variety shows, one at Barnes Veterans Hospital, and one at Dammasch Hospital. The team attended tourna- ments at many different high schools and colleges. Two meets were held in Wash- ington, and Foreign Ex- change student Maura Maz- zoli spoke at two. In their many meets, dis- trict tourneys, and Delta debates, the team, as usual, had a very successful year. M: gel, 13,g1 Wi' ' gm Kay Peterson ACADEMICS 739
