Obonodori meaning Night of Dance was the theme chosen for the annual basketball dance sponsored by Chi-Ata. After much consideration the Oriental theme was chosen and the girls started to work immediately. The Combo served as the dance band, and the decorations were Japanese scrolls on the walls, a Japanese nove-lty tree, and lanterns, paper fish, and then more lan- terns. Doug Manley crowned Queen Barbara Race and royal Senior Princesses were Carol Simpson, Beverly Eider, and Sherri Travnick. Es- corts were Harvey VanBrunt, Gene Purkeypile, and Art Coughlin. General chairmen were De- lores McKelvey and Jimmie Nettell. Other chair- men were Ann Gullion, decorations, and Paris Slyter, tickets and sales.

Keiu Anderson is Queen! WINTER WALTZ Sleigh Ride was the theme given to this year's annual Christmas dance. The Winter Waltz is annually sponsored by Girls' League. Decorations included every- thing trom a sleigh to a snowman. Chosen to rule as Miss Merry Christmas was petite senior, Keiu Anderson. Serving in her royal court were Barbara Race, senior princess, Dian Rice, iunior princess, Gail Pomeroy, sophomore princess, and Kadi Anderson as freshman princess. As the evening continues, the shadows of the happy couples dance merrily across the floor.
