Many Firsts on Campus The old administration building has been remodeled into a museum, housing many valuable paintings by Jean Despujols. The res- toration and upkeep of the building, as well as the exhibition of paint- ings, is the gift of the Meadows family. Thirty Saudi Arabians came to Centenary this year to learn the English language under the aus- pices of the English Lan- guage Service. The Sau- dis were housed in Rotary, which was remodeled to accommo- date them. ions I Vannie Edwards returned to Centenary this year as gymnastics coach. He was coach and manager of U.S. Olympic teams in gymnastics in 1964, 1968, and 1972. His qualifications and experience attracted many stu- dents to gymnastics. Robert Parish, Centenary ' s nation- ally known basketball player, played in the Pan Am games of 1975. He was captain of the U.S. team and was leading scorer in the gold medal game against Cuba. For the first time in the history of SGA elections, an election was postponed because it was contested. The freshman elections were voided and reheld the next week. The proceedings raised many questions about Centenary ' s electoral process.
