These two boys are probably too young to shave, but they are old enough to squirt shaving cream. „!,»««« » ... A freshman girl gives an icy glance to the photographer. The glance isn ' t all that ' s icy. Judy Pate looks up from the language lab to tell a friend that she has just given away the last available economics test. Sherry Leopard looks over a little light reading in the alcoves of the bookstore. Her expression indicates that she thinks the title of the center book sums up the whole situation.

Fall is filled with many things; among them are rush, departmental field trips, and the election of cheerleaders. Dean Hohmann checks with I FC to see that no punches are pulled during rush week. A few were pulled, as usual, and many more were poured. Good old Everclear. Before departure for Ocean Springs, J. J. Keller and a silly little kid or two discuss events to come. They brought back all manner of strange sea beasts. Cheerleader elections conjure up very little spirit except among fraternities and sororities who sponsor candidates. » ' , w k

After the traumas of rush, registration, and orientation are over, the crowd thins out and che world is again just for two. Opportunities to vent spleen at beloved faculty members are received with great vigor. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm. Emerson
