Radio and the movies are still fighting television for the public ' s attention, but we have realized that T.V. is the medium of the future and that we, on a progressive college campus, must acknowledge it as such. Therefore, in our big production — your YONCOPIN — we have pictured the school year of 1953-54 through the eye of the television camera. Television is entering every home, every phase of life and brings us drama, sports events, the latest news and Arthur Godfrey. Through the process of kinescope we have filmed the events, the activities, the successes that have made college life a happy experience this past year. Now by tuning to U. H. F. Channel 54 you may relive those experiences. A television receiver is somewhat like a mechanical man that is very clever at assembling jigsaw puzzles. All of the mechanics that go into the reproduc- tion of the picture on a receiver sound fantastic, but television itself is fantastic — yet true. The YONCOPIN is your receiver. The Administration, our Activi- ties, Features, Athletics, Organizations, the Faculty and Students are all pieces of college, which when fitted together form a very important part of our life. Through the medium of this fantasy which is reality, we present your 1954 YONCOPIN and dedicate it to the GREATER CENTENARY— the Centenary of the future.
