Gates Gene Giles Bob Lane Margaret Poss Philip Rawls HONOR COURT The Honor Court of Centenary is composed of five members of the student body who hold office from the time of their selection until graduation. In setting up the first Honor Court the members of the student body nominated students at the regular chapel per- iod. The names of the twenty students with the greatest number of votes were submitted to the faculty who selected eight names for further con- sideration. From those eight the Senate named the five students pictured here who compose the initial Honor Court. Walter Dobie is Chief Justice, Joe Pollard is Associate Justice and the Clerk of Court is Mitzi Lowe. Dr. W. W. Pate serves as faculty advisor. All reports of violations of the Honor Code are re- ceived and judged by the Honor Court which is fully authorized to deal with such offenses. 19 5 4 Y O N C O P I N Reynolds, Ramey, Pirkey Kirkpatrick, Phillips, Sutherland An idea begun in the summer, the yearbook is a sometimes hard, but always satisfying job. So many seemingly small jobs add up into one big accom- plishment — the annual Yoncopin. An accomplish- ment, however, that is not possible without the ap- preciated cooperation of the administration, faculty and students at Centenary. Themes, layouts, cover planning, picture taking, copy writing, ad selling are all important parts of the yearly activities of the staff. The time that is put into the production of the Yoncopin is a constant attempt to please the students. It is the realization of this goal that makes the work a pleasure.
