(centenary ( oliecje of L t Skreveport ouisiana OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT TO THE STUDENTS OF 1947-1948 You who have attended Centenary College this school year, have been members of the largest stu- dent body in the school ' s history. It is my hope that this student body will prove to be great not only in numbers but also in the quality of citizenship it brings to its home communities. It has been the aim of the faculty to give you an aducation that is truly liberal, one that will help liberate your minds from any trace of prejudice and bigotry, and one which will instill into your hearts firm determination to continue your search for truth and justice in the world about you. If you have achieved that freedom of thought and that conviction of soul, you will surely contribute greatness to the economic, social and religious life of your home communities. A loe J. Mickle, President
