Students in War Training Course in Advanced Cost Accounting receive instruc- tion in preparation of cost analysis charts from Pro- fessor Robert S. See. The United States Office of Education has established a nation wide program to provide technical training at college levels for men and women critically needed in war industries. The entire program is under the super- vision of the United States Commissioner of Education and is supported by a grant of funds made by Congress. The work for the North Louisiana area is administered by Centenary College of Louisiana and the Louisiana Polytechnic Institute. More than six hundred men and women have received valuable technical training in the twenty-six courses offered at the College during the year. All courses offered were at college level and of direct value to the war effort. These courses are offered tui- tion-free, after working hours, to men and women em- ployed in war industries or those who wish to prepare for such employment. Louisiana Polytechnic Institute and Centenary College have worked in close cooperation in sponsoring the wartime educational program of the U. S. Office of Education and the Manpower Commission. The faculty of the Louisiana Polytechnic Institute School of Engi- neering has made possible the successful operation of the engineering training courses on the Centenary cam- pus.
