The Guild is Centenary's religious and philanthropic organization. It has contributed much to local, national, and international societies. The Guild is one of the clubs in the school which has one hundred per cent member- ship, and we are very proud of this record. Without the interest and cooperation of all of the girls, we could not have accomplished as much as we did. We opened our season with a huge picnic in The Groveg every member of the faculty and the student body was invited to attend. We had plenty of good things to eat, open fires, perfect weather, a few late-season swimmers, and, to top it all, a faculty-student baseball game that, to this day, remains one of the high spots of the year. We sponsored d h l or anizations. We also sponsored a card party for the benefit of local an sc oo g ' l' ' a new ex eriment for Centenary, and a very Religious Emphasis Week, which was p successful one. Everyone of us has benefited in some way by our membership in the Guild. THE CHORUS If the Chorus continues to grow as it has this past year, it will certainly soon be too big for Whitney Hall. At our first rehearsals, we discovered that we were too large a group to practice profitably together. Therefore, we became two choirs. Every other Sun- day the Freshman Choir sang the chapel service, and every other the Senior. iThe competition we gave each other did us good. However, the two choruses did not always sing separately. We joined forces the afternoon the Stevens Glee Club was here. What a concert that was! W We enjoyed hearing the Stevens group sing very much. We sang the last few chapel services together and did some of our favorites, Pilgrims Chorus and The Last Chord. Baccalaureate music was sung by the whole chorus also. But when Commencement rolled around, we Seniors were willing to bow out and let the Freshman Chorus sing our farewell. We've had a busy, happy year together. Best wishes for the continued success of the chorus we know and the one that is to come. ii I
