Under the leadership of Miss McBride and by constant practice, the girls developed a team which made an excellent showing for the Academy. Only one member of the team graduates. so prospects for a champion team in i26 are very bright.

There was very little material to build from, but Mr. Glover proved himself a capable coach and molded from the green material which came to him, a team worthy of the name '4Eagle. 0543 Girls' Athletics The picture above is a group of the girls of the physical training class. This was part of the directed girls' athletics, supervised by Miss Billie McBride. ln addition to the physical training class, teams in basketball, volley-ball and tennis were organized. This is the first year that girls have taken part in the athletics of the Academy. A hike was enjoyed every Friday afternoon by the members of the girls' association. Margaret Holmes was president of the organization, with Kathleen McBride as secretary.
