SQYIOR HISTORY In the fall of l9LL, flfteen members of thls graduat lng class were 1n1t1ated 1nto Cement Hlgn School After the lnltlatlon Cof whlch the maln attractlon was Bob Lafferty's recltlng Mary WAS a Llttle Lamb J we became full fledged members of the h1gh school and began to make the most of our school llves Our carnlval Ylng and Queen were darry Sltes and Barbara Ann Salyer Our sponsor dur lng thls year was N153 Krone. Durlng the second year, Mrs Blble was elected our sponsor It was that year that Lols Campbell and Bobble Prltchett Jolned the class The annual carnlval proved to be a flnanclal success, and the Sophomores gave the school some floodllghts and lnstalled fountalns ln the gym Norma Lee Vaughan and Donald Norton were our carnlval Klng and Queen Robert Qmlth and Pat Roblnson played basket ball wlth the raln str ng, and helped to wln the dlStT1Ct chacplonshlp And so beglns our Junlor year We had two new stu dents, Syble Vorrow and Vlolet Baxter Our sponsor was hlSS Cathryn Ratllff That year we produced a play, WThe Campbells are Comlng' Our Junlor and Senlor Banquet was carrled out ln the theme of 'The Gay 9O'sN Arlls iunter, who left us o JOlH the Navy tdat year and Peggy Barrett were our c rnlval Ylng and Queen candldates Another event o be remembered was the recelvlng of our class rlngs, of YhlCh we were all very proud Ard so at last we come to our Senlor year when Pat Roblnson was elected presldent, Barbara Arn Salyer, vlce urer and Norma Lee Vaughan reporter For our senlor play we selected 'The Adorable Irp' A new comer to o r class thls year was Glenn solomon Our carnlval Ylng end Queen was Bobble Prltchett and Bob Lafferty Our trlp was to Grand Lake where we had a very good tlme Anotrer tklng ve wlll want to remember lS the hanglrg of the senlor plcture ln the 'Hall of Fame' Some of the mEHOTl6S we wlll never forget are our flr t speech ln speech class, people hldlng our books, everyone steallng everyone elses typln chalr, the boys maklng fun of the glrls' new ha1r dos tre monotony of Vlolet Ba1ter's good grades, 'rs B1ble's n llsh tests, belnf called down for eatlns candy 1D school and nany others coo rumerous to mentlon As we ap roach the close of our Jlgr School career we would 1lKE to take thls opportunlty to thank every one responslble for maklng our graduatlon posslble we WlSh especlally to thank our parents, faculty, and our sponsor for the speclal efforts that they put forth durlng ou school years.
