Mrs. Tulin Burnham, and Mrs. Juanifa Burnham skillfully ushered fhis group fhrough fhe primary grades. Miss Harrieff Parkhursf, who, by fhe way, is sfill feaching in Celoron. fook us fhrough fhe perilous days of fhe fourfh grade. During our fiffh and sixfh grades. supervised by Mrs. Olive Faulkner and Miss Isabelle Carlson respecfively. we endured fhe usual hardships of sfudying. Adding new members and also sadly parfing wifh old friends each year. we successfully reached and leff behind us fhaf somewhaf mys- ferious boundary fhaf separafes fhe grades from fhe high school. Wifh Mr. E. Peferson and Mr. E. Levin as our leaders, we were sfarfed on fhe sfraighf and narrow pafh which would, evenfually, lead us safely fhrough fhe four hazardous years fo our goal-graduafion. Surviving fhe ordeal of fhe Freshman inifiafion af fhe beginning of fhe Chrisfmas holidays, we sfruggled fhrough fhe re- mainder of fhe year. As Sophomores, we began our campaign fo raise money for fhe Junior-Senior prom fo be held a year lafer. Under fhe careful guidance of Mrs. Porfer, we safely lived fhrough fhe furmoil and indecision fhaf filled our Sophomore year. Wifh buf fwo years leff in which fo complefe our high school educafion. a greaf many of us finally awoke fo fhe facf fhaf in order fo reach our goal, we musf furn our enfire affenfion fo our school work and forgef fhe greafer joys of life. Under fhe mas- 'rerful supervision of Miss Rifa Schworm. we successfully complefed our campaign for funds wifh which fo sfage a prom, and progress began immediafely. Many a weary hour was spenf consfrucfing palm frees and sewing fhose yards and yards of cheese clofh which finally represenfed a very delighfful scene as a ceiling. By seven o'clock upon fha evening of June eighfh, fhe final preparafions were complefed, and prompfly af eighf fhe dance began under fhe lighf of a soufh sea island moon. Very few com- plicafions arising, fhe enfire affair was considered a huge success. Enfering info our lasf year af dear old Celeron. wifh graduafion iusf around fhe corner. we gladly soughf Mrs. Bernice l-lafch's mofherly advice and lef nofhing sfand in fhe way of our aim. ln fhe fall we exerfed much of our energy fo presenf fhe an- nual class play, enfifled All On Accounf of Luella . The class sponsored fewer money making acfivifies and yef raised more money fhan classes in previous years. Af fhe complefion of our Senior year, we affended a mosf enioyable prom. Thanks fo fhe Junior class. And now as we leave our school, some will confinue fheir educafion: some will forge ahead fo success in business. each in his own field: and possibly some will fall by fhe wayside and drop info obscurify, buf I am sure we shall cherish fhe memories of our high school years in our dear old Alma Mafer.
