ST MARYS OF BURLINGTON The Bulldogs started off their flrst game of the season on September 8 with a t1e of 7 7 St Mary s scored its only TD in the early part of the first quarter Late in the second quarter our Bulldogs left half Calvin Traver ran off tackle for the touchdown The extra point was kicked by Glenn Mueller. PORT WASHINGTON On October 12 the Bulldogs won their second Braveland conference game by beating Port Washington 19 12 Calvin Traver scored on the Bulldogs first series of plays after a Port fumble Later in the first quarter the Pirates scored on a 50 yard run to t1e up the game The Bulldogs scored another TD with Fred Behrens 13 6 In the second quarter Dan Dick mann intercepted one of Ports passes and ran 40 yards for another Bulldog touch down Both teams were unable to score in the fourth quarter leaving the score at Cedarburg 19 Port 12 WATERTOWN GAME Cedarburg lost its Homecoming game Friday, October 19, to a strong Watertown team. Watertown kicked off with a short on the side kick which was downed on the 35. With a series of downs the Bull- dogs lost the ball on the 1 yard line. Wa- tertown coming back marched back for their first touchdown. Cedarburg inter- cepted a pass but failed to score. The score remained at the half 7 to 0, Guid- inger kicked off and Watertown ran the ball to Cedarburgis 3 yard line. With a strong defense we held them for three downs but on the fourth down they scored. With this win it gave them the Braveland Championship. FOOTBALL TEAM IN ACTION carrying the ball.
