Victor Hugo Abraham Lincoln was a man of progress. He looked to the future in his every action. America is again looking forward. As a nation, as a state, and as a city the people of America are advancing. Here within our own com- munity the people have thought of Tomorrow by providing for better education. The new high school, which was approved by the voters in the fall of 1957, is indeed a form of Progress. We have endeavored to carry out this trend towards Tomorrow in The Hawk of 1958. In it we have attempted to capture the progressive spirit of the students in our high school. It is our hope that this spirit will continue to develop and grow until it has provided for a better Tomorrow. 3 ADMINISTRATION SEATED are Mr. Gordon Rector, Trustee, and Mr. Walter Pratt, President. The development of this organization is due chiefly to Mr. Walker, Mrs. Weaver and Mrs. Tuesink. Being registered nurses themselves these women have been able advisors for the girls. In their first year the future nurses have taken several field trips--among them are visits to Greenville Memorial Hospital and Clark Memorial Home. Progressive girls such as these, who have the spirit to undertake new projects, enable our school to better serve the community.
