rilFITH BLUE V. Mu Alpha Theta, the Cedar Shoals Mathematics Club, is open to any student in Geometry or above. The purpose of the club is to explore, not only mathematics, but also its uses and applications in jobs and life. Members of the Math Club also investigate mathematical concepts of computer programming, as well as uses of mathematics in related fields such as nuclear energy and com- puter design. Members consist of Saul Honigberg, Mark Box, Donald Caster, John Entrekin, Steve Scott, Todd Wood, Mark Frost, Thomas Cook, Bernice Hall, Garth Wilbanks, and Michael Thomas. As a may of stimulating and fostering further interest in science, the Cedar Shoals Science Club provides outstanding speakers, sponsors field trips, and participates in statewide science activities.
