The FHA students held a drop-in at the start of the year, any student who was interested in the club was cordially invited to attend a meeting. As a result of this there are twenty members. Using their theme Leadership is Your Choice they had a very successful Home- coming float. The mem- bers won first place in the State Youth Division. The FHA officers are: Miriam Cox, Pres; Sylvia Witcher, Vice Pres; Daphne Binns, Secretary; and Janet Strong, Treasurer. FFA 4 FFA is an organization for students studying vocational agriculture. This includes horticulture and animal science. During the year, members participate in area and State contests, have fund- raising projects, have parties, and recreational activities; such as camp-outs and trips to the North Georgia Mts. Summer activities include attending the State FFA convention, an area rally at the state FFA-FHA convention at Lake Jackson. Last year CS FFA teams placed third in the Live Stock judging, third in the Horticulture Contest, third in the State Contest, and participated in the Top Ten Teams Contests.
