STUDENT GOVERNMENT The Student Council ' s goal is to strength- en the school, both within the student body and the community. This year, the council adoped a new constitution and organized the first homecoming parade. Further projects were planned for the remainder of the year. FCA The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is a youth fellowship dedicated to a joyful expression of the claims of Christ. Every meeting was successful because of interesting programs and guest speakers, and most im- portantly the participation of each member to make every gathering meaningful. CHESS THE CHESS CLUB When you ' re trying to locate somebody who happens to be a member of the chess club, your best bet would be to check the library. Members oftentimes spend hours there, practicing their skills and perfecting their chess game. The club sponsors several intra-school chess tourna- ments, as well as matches with other area high school chess players. In the past, they have had such notable foes as Oconee County and Clarke Central High Schools. More tournaments, with these and other area schools are planned for the future.
