Many mem- bers attended German Camp, where they competed with German students from other high schools in the state of Georgia. INTERNATIONAL The International Club is a club com- posed of foreign language students who are interested in their particular language in addition to the languages of others . Through programs including films, skits, and speakers from for- eign countries, the club acquaints students with the people, culture, terrain, and climate of foreign coun- tries. The club ' s many activities in- cluded an International Christmas Banquet, a ping-pong tournament, and an International fair. Jr. Classical League is a club (Jesigne(J to promote the classical civilizations of Rome and Greece. To start off the 1975-76 school year, XL had a pool party at Villa del Rio. The Cedar Shoals XL proved to be No. 1 at the state conven- tion this year by winning more first place Olympic ribbons than any other Georgia high school. Top winners was Kim Frazer with four first place rib- bons. Jr. Classical League members are planning a trip to Rome. J R C L A S S I C A L L E A G U E ART Cedar Shoals is fortunate to have many talented student artists. These artists, under the guidance of Mrs. Williams and the Art Department enter many local and statewide art exhibits and contests. In the past. Cedar Shoals art students have won prizes for their pro- jects, in such competitions as the Design an Ad Contest, the Penny Art Fair, and other no- table festivals. 165
