The fall pep rally, first of any assemblies, was held on September 27, l974. It ush ered in the fall sport's season for JV Football, Var sity Football, Girls' Vol- leyball, Crosscountry and gymnastics. The cheering competition was won by the ninth graders. The high- lights of the assembly were the varsity football team doing the hello cheer, and the cheerleaders presenting their new routine to THE ENTERTAINER. HEMI bum f pmt

1825355 For three weeks last fall, we had the honor of hosting three teachers from Japan who were at Cedar Park to observe how an American school operates, and to improve their English. Mr. Mima from Sapporo, Mr. Isozaki from Sendai, and Mr. Ojima, from Southern Japan all teach in different junior highs in their country. The families who hosted the visi- tors were Mrs. Ruth Scheller, a teacher here at Cedar Park, and Mrs. Rose Weed. The visi- tors traveled from New York to Portland on the bus, riding for 13 days, eight hours a day. They were in a party of 42 who were placed in the Portland area.
