Cedar Park Varsity Football-1974 Cedar Park Mt. View Highland Parkrose Hts Central Whitford Meadow Park Hillsboro Cedar Park Cedar Park Cedar Park Cedar Park Cedar Park Cedar Park Cedar Park football started in late August with double prac- tices and lots of hard work. After the four weeks of prac- tices, the team opened its sea- son. The first game was on the road against the Hillsboro White team. The game ended with a very impressive win for Cedar with a score of 32-0. Cedar looked great on both offense and defense. The next six games didn't quite go as planned. Lack of desire and too much over confidense were the reasons. After losing five games in a row, it was destined that Cedar was to play Meadow Park, Cedar's biggest rival, a team which had- n't lost a game. With much de- sire Cedar finally went out there and fought. Our team scored first on a fifty yard pass play. Meadow returned with a matching TD. Penalties and mistakes once again hit Cedar and in the end they lost by the score of 22-12. All and all it wasn't the best season Cedar has had, but with lots of good up- coming players, Cedar should have a bright future.
