.M.A.K. Send Me a Kiss CS.M.A.K.D turned out to be an over-all success in the true spirit of Valentine's Day. Attendance wasn't over- whelming, but the cheerleaders made Sl00.00 to help pay for their uniforms. For the most part, those attending were all dancing and enjoying themselves. To the cheerlead- ers who got it all together, Thanks!

The annual Social Studies Fair for the 8th graders went over well this year. Everyone involved really pitched in to help make it a success. The fair was held in our new library instead of the wrestling gym as before. Interest was high, especilally with the new graduation requirements which will affect next year's 9th graders. Any social studies class they take in their freshman year here will count toward fullfilment of the l year required for graduation. Ninth grade students presently enrolled in one of the social studies classes were chosen to talk about them. Each class was explained by the student rep- resenative, then the 8th graders were allowed to move around and talk to each of the groups. Among the familiar classes offered were Anthropology, Civil Rights, Civilizations:Past and Present,Current Affairs and there was a new face, Minorities in America. This class, to be taught by Mrs. Lyden, has taken the place of American West. Thanks to the help of all those students and teachers who got involved we're looking forward to a big turn- out next year for social studies
