Visitors From The orth On January 17, three Eskimo girls arrived at Cedar Park as part of a cultural exchange program with Stebbins, Alaska They were a part of a group of 62 other kids from our largest--and coldest--state. The girls spent six weeks in classes at Cedar Park, and they were part of the homes of Anne Wheeler, Amy Swingen, and Kristy Morton. The girls spent may hours on the telephone, and TV was a big hit with them. It was a valuable experience for all of us here at Cedar Park, and we do hope that Beatrice Coffey, Joanna Matthias, and Tessie Hunt and all their chaperones have fond memories of their stay with us. Perhaps a chance will come when CP students can spend some time in Stebbins. 96

Lates Edition About two years ago the Beaverton School District seriously considered adding on to Cedar Park's library. Last year they made it happen. While construction was going on the old library was temporarily housed in the wrestling gym where it functioned quite well from June until December of last year. When we moved the library back in the sight was very pleasing. The new addition is loaded with many luxeries, such as: Air conditioning, car- peting, new audio visual department, and a seperate faculty library. This new addition has doubled the size o of the library. There is a lot of room in there now, mainly because of the scarcity of furnature. In the future we hope to purchace a few pieces of more modern furn- iture. .......,...------- ,F- 'v-rw, ,- 98
