Varsity track team won the district 12-AA title easily with 146 pts. There were 10 girls participating for the Scarlets, with Kim Tid- well receiving the high-point trophy. The JV placed lst, 2nd, and 3rd in the 880 yd. run and the 220 yd. dash. In all they had six lst, five 2nd, four 3rd, and four 6th places. We're all very proud of the hard work they did this year. Even though the 1976-77 Scar- lets did not win their district meet they did equally as well as in the past. Above all they did an outstanding job in send- ing most of the team to the regional meet. The 440, 880, and mile relays all qualified, plus two runners in the 880 yd . dash and one in the mile run. There were also three alter- nates.
