A fake bomb at the Washington Monument and a real bomb at Cedar Falls High School alarmed many. A .homemade time bomb exploded September 22 in the boys' restroom on the third floor, luckily with no injuries. The most popular movie oi' the year was, of course, E.T. People of all ages fell in love with the homely, I yet adorable extra- terrestrial. Ending the first semester with finals, students crammed before their tests.
