The name of Harry Grammes, a member of Salem Reformed Church and a senior member of L. F. Grammes and Sons, was presented and unanimously elected. Mr. Grammes Was loath to accept, because of frequent demands already made upon his time by local enterprises and institutions. He Was prevailed upon however to accept. In his maiden speech he presented his plat- form With two planks. One Was publicity and the second was the Secretarial Depart- ment.
