French Club Spanish Club Library Club upervised by Mrs. Dorothy Mc- ormick and President Dave chankweiler, the French Club nded a very active year. Most of he weekly meetings were used o plan fund-raising projects to inance a spring trip to Canada. lub members hung a Christmas reath on the school and travelled o Hershey to see Marcel Marceau. o celebrate the Bicentennial, the- lub participated in the Internation- I Language Fair held at Cedar Cliff. Sponsoring, bake sales and partici- pating in the International Language Fair were the main activities of the Spanish Club this year. To be eligi- ble for membership, a student must have taken Spanish for three semes- ters and must attain an over-all aver- age of 900fo. Advisors Senora Dobbs and Senora Kellar familiarized the members with customs and geog- raphy of Spain, Central and South America. 1976 was concluded with the annual Spanish Dinner. Contributing an important service to the school, the Library Club members provided constant assist- ance to Cedar Cliff's librarians, Mrs. Rogowicz and Mrs. Mourton, ad- visor of the club. These students worked in the library during their study hall periods and after school. As an added responsibility, the Li- brary Club offered aid to Highland Elementary School librarians for thefirsttime. 181

Stage Crew Key Club For the first time in G.A.A. history, involvement in interscholastic sports was not necessary for mem- bership. The new president of the Girls' Athletic Association, Ginny Roth, and Becky Blair, vice-presi- dent, planned meetings with other schools for games of volleyball and powder puff football. As a group project, a showcase displaying tro- phies won by C.C.'s female athletes was set up with the help of advisors Miss Straw and Mrs. Wayne. In addition to building and painting sets, the stage crew supplied light- ing and sound effects for numerous Cedar Cliff theatrical productions this year. Also providing their serv- ices during assemblies and stage events, the stage crew worked under the direction of Mr. Rogo- wicz. 1975-76 officers included Mike Smith, president, Kathy Kess- ler, vice-president, Lynn Croteau, secretary, and Frank Konhaus, treasurer. Sponsoring community projects was the objective of the Key Club this year. Advised by Rick Zeiders, members held a Pancake Jamboree at the Lemoyne Fire Hall, a Christmas party at the Methodist Home for the elderly, and a bike hike for crippled chil- dren. The eventful year con- cluded with the most active members representing C.C. at the state convention in Seven Springs, Pa. 183
