Jim gm Wuth a feelung of excutement temperea by fear 134 students descended upon Cecul Hugh cchool as eughth graders un 1951 In our enthusuasm for our new lufe we were too preoccupued to realuze that the upperclassmen regarded us as mere babues But under the patuent guudance of Muss Cornell Mrs Bevuer Muss Vauksnor and Mr Lubovsky we gradually developed a more adult conduct as the year progressed The end of the term found the number stull 134 but at the termunatuon of our freshman year eleven had left us Durung thus year Muss Hussom Muss Dowlung Mr Deluere and Mr Krall helped us to fulflll the requure ments for senuor hugh school Und r the sponsorshup of Mrs Book Muss Vauksnor and Mr Beaumaruage we tack our hrst step as sophomores un the senuor hugh school Despute renewed unterests the greatest decr ase un class enrollment occurred that year wuth a loss of twenty students One new student Marue Alex ander louned us Muss Rudall Muss Johnston and Mr Scarton served as uunuor substutute and our sponsor Thus year eught students left us and two louned us Arlene Bouchy and John Duffy After alrnost twelve years we have reached our goal senuors Mrs Puntek and Mr Dornan are assustung us Durung the present term two of our members have wuthdrawn Rose Marne Magaruh us our only newcomer Approxumately eughty nune senuors are scheduled to graduate n May 1956 Throughout the past f1ve years many problems have been presented not only to the unduvuduals but also to the class as a whole Due to the combuned efforts of our teachers and parents we have solved these problems School actuvu tues such as G A A Glee Club Band Hu Y Tru Hu Y class plays dances and sports have depended un a great part upon the partucupatuon and cooperatuon of the members of our class It us gratufyunq to realuze that we have grown from the frughtened eughth graders of 1951 unto the untellugent senuors who feel we are ready to take our places un the socual and economuc world ln our hearts we shall always cherush the memorues happy and sad oluke whuch we experuenced at Cecul Hugh School 29 I 1 f , , ' I ' I I , .
